Frequently Asked Questions
How many students are in my group?
There can be a maximum of 8 students per group. The definitive number of participants will be determined on the day before the start.
What is the schedule and length of the course?
Tuesday/Thursday 8:00PM - 9.40PM CET (Italian time). The course will last 8 weeks, for a total of 32 academic hours.
Is the teacher Italian?
Yes, all our teachers are native Italian and certified Teachers of Italian as a Second Language.
What language will be spoken during the lessons?
We aim at using exclusively Italian during the classes, as a way to enhance the full immersion experience. Even though it is understandable that some English can be used during the first stages in a beginner group, knowledge of English is not a requirement to participate in the course.
What happens if I have to miss a lesson?
All lessons are recorded, therefore you will be able to watch any class you miss at your convenience.
Will I receive a physical textbook?
No, you will be granted access to an interactive digital textbook, with a license valid for 14 months. Should you wish to purchase a physical textbook, we will be happy to assist you with finding it.
What will I achieve at the end of the course?
The specific results of the course depend on the level of the group and are indicated above on this page. Each course covers half of a level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
What happens after 8 weeks, when the course ends?
Once the course ends, you can sign up for another 8 week cycle with the same group, provided we have at least 2 participants who wish to continue. In this case, you will continue to progress from where you left off.
Will I receive a certificate at the end of the course?
We will issue a certificate of attendance upon request.
Can I join if I don’t live in Europe?
Absolutely! Many of our students live outside Europe. Just make sure the class time works for your time zone: lessons are held from 8 to 9:40 PM Italian time (Central European Time).
What if I’m not sure what level I am?
No problem, we’ll guide you! If you're unsure of your level, you can request a free trial lesson and a short placement test. We'll help you find the perfect group for your current level.
Do I need a webcam and microphone?
Yes. Since lessons are live and interactive, you’ll need a stable internet connection, a microphone, and a webcam to participate actively in the group. We advise you to connect via computer or tablet rather than via phone.
How do I access the lessons?
All lessons take place on Zoom. Once you register, you’ll receive all the necessary links and instructions to join your classes and access your materials.
I’m still unsure: can I talk to someone before I sign up?
Of course. We’d be happy to help. You can book a free trial lesson or email us directly, we’ll be glad to answer any questions and help you feel confident in your choice.
